September 8th. Two years ago today Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth died & His Majesty King Charles acceded to the throne. Rutland held a small ceremony and I laid flowers at our statue to remember Queen Elizabeth’s life of service. This was followed by a service at All Saints’ Church, Oakham.
