April 19th – Our care homes need PPE to keep them safe from Covid-19! Staff at Aberdeen House, Uppingham were delighted to receive visors made by Uppingham School. I am so pleased that both Uppingham & Oakham Schools are making visors for use across the country. Thanks also to Northfield Farm for hand sanitizer, which is also needed .
March 14th: This weekend the Magistrates Association celebrated their centenary. A series of events & exhibitions were kicked off with a fascinating lecture by Dr Ann Logan (University of Kent) charting the making of women magistrates. This was followed by tea thanks to the Lord Mayor.
