Nov 3rd. There was a moving Remembrance service at Brook church Rutland today. Probably the first of the year? Thanks to all involved.

Oct 16th: Thanks to all the volunteers who attended a splendid service of thanks for their work, organised by Rutland’s High Sheriff in Uppingham Church; with Bishop Debbie visiting from Peterborough Cathedral.
Oct 10th: Many of us saw the Northern Lights, which put in an unusual appearance in Rutland. I took these photos from Station Road, Whissendine!
Oct 9th; A very enjoyable evening. Rutland Flower Club had an annual open meeting & a demonstration by the talented Andrew Key at Rutland County Museum .The club offers monthly meetings, demos & classes – all are welcome to join.
Oct 2nd: We had an uplifting evening yesterday to celebrate the success of young people at the Virtual School supported by Rutland Council.
I was glad to join Rutland’s High Sheriff, teachers parents and the Emmanu-el Apostolic Gospel Academy . Also the Leicester FC mascot!
Sept 30th. It is always a privilege & pleasure to welcome new #British #citizens. Today in Oakham we welcomed six; from USA, Zimbabwe, Poland & Thailand. Congratulations!
Sept 28th: Great cakes, bargains, fun & community spirit at the Macmillan Cancer coffee morning in Stretton today! Thanks to all for such an enjoyable time. A great charity – 1 in 2 of us will get cancer and Macmillan Cancer offers practical advice, nursing & emotional support.
Sept 28th: The vibrant village community of Stretton has a new & beautiful sign. It was hand made as a gift to the village. A pleasure to unveil it.
Sept 19th: Celebrating our cadets at the Rutland Show ground and awarding Certificates for Meritorious Service. The Combined Cadet Force & volunteer officers enable cadets to gain experience & qualifications & improve life chances for life. Thanks to the Station Commander RAF Wittering for an inspiring talk.
