Sept 19th: Celebrating our cadets at the Rutland Show ground and awarding Certificates for Meritorious Service. The Combined Cadet Force & volunteer officers enable cadets to gain experience & qualifications & improve life chances for life. Thanks to the Station Commander RAF Wittering for an inspiring talk.

Bereavement and Dying really Matters
. As patron of Leicestershire and Rutland Dying Matters I was very pleased to receive support from the Uppingham Masonic Lodge, and also to introduce our new Chair of Dying Matters, Andrew Brown (Leader of Rutland Council) at Oakham Castle. Thanks to all.
Oakham in Bloom
Sept 12th: Hard work goes into making Oakham beautiful with flowers & planters. Oakham in Bloom held its AGM yesterday. Nick Hamilton gave a fascinating talk about Barnsdale Garden.
Volunteers are needed to help plant bulbs, water and weed – gardening is therapeutic so do consider joining.
