Rutland’s Remembrance Concert
The first Rutland Remembrance concert was held on 11th November at Uppingham School. All of Rutland’s secondary schools contributed splendid performances. We also had memorable performances from the Cadet corps of drums and the Cottesmore Military Wives choir.
So many of those present said it was a great event and called for it to happen every year; we will try! Attendance exceeded 500 people and over £6,000 was raised for The Royal British Legion . With thanks to the sponsors of the venue and the refreshments, all costs were covered so all ticket proceeds went to the charity.
