The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise Promotion

Following the sad death of Her Majesty the Queen on 8th September 2022, the information below will be updated as soon as we have been made aware of the wishes of His Majesty King Charles in respect of this project.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise Promotion recognise individuals who make outstanding contributions to enterprise culture in the UK.

The awards are made each year by HM The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes representatives of Government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions.

The deadline for entries is the 28th September each year. Winners are announced on The Queen’s personal birthday, 21st April. Those who win – together with their nominees – are informed shortly before the announcement and invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace. The Lord-Lieutenant then presents the Award to any successful individuals in Rutland.
